Foreword by Reggie Gold
Being invited to write a forward to somebody else’s book carries with it several presumptions. Among others, and these are in no particular order, is the presumption that I am some sort of expert in the subject involved. Not so! I know very little about the intricacies of office procedure and even less about practice management. I have my own peculiar way of doing things and my office staff either does it my way or hits the highway.
The invitation also presumed that I know about writing. By this time, you have probably already learned the folly of that presumption. About the only presumption that appears to be true concerns my total commitment to chiropractic and to those who serve it, as well as to those whom it serves, the public.
It is in recognition of the need to see the profession grow in both quantity and quality that I accepted this commission and agreed to the undertaking of this task.
It was in that frame of mind that I started what I expected to be a difficult and boring job. Imagine my delight when after only a few pages I found myself involved in what can only be described as a fabulous chiropractic adventure. The author had me following her footsteps down the rabbit hole and through the looking glass to meet all the wonderland characters of chiropractic life.
By all means follow those office procedures and other ideas that meet your practice style and consider aborting others if the ideas appeal to you, but that is not the real message of this book.
What comes bouncing off every page is the pure energy and love of chiropractic that is the essence of Mei-Mei. How great it would be if every office shone with that love and energy. You owe it to yourself and your future growth to gift a copy of this fabulous book to every member of your staff, current and future. And don’t forget that grouchy old D.C. down the street. Maybe then he won’t be such a grouch.
